Rindge Energy Commission

Mission: The Rindge Energy Commission works to influence the town and its residents toward environmental sustainability. They will sponsor public education designed to promote energy savings and the use of renewable sources in homes and businesses and will analyze municipal energy use with recommendations aimed at lowering energy costs and saving taxpayer money.

High Priority

Currently, our high priority is to access available funding and programs offered by the utilities to help residents and the municipality reduce energy use and cost. We are also very interested in Community Choice Aggregation offerings. From our annual report;

In 2020, the Energy Commission hopes to participate in a statewide task force studying Community Power purchasing options. Much like the Monadnock Buying Collaborative that the town participates in for lower electric supply pricing, Community Power would allow businesses and residents to participate in a bulk electricity supply purchase agreement.
