Joining us in MOMUN 2023 as our Key-note speaker is Masahiro Matsui, Consul in charge of information and culture in the Consulate-General of Japan in Toronto. He was appointed here in Toronto last November after serving in the Rep office of Japan to Palestine as a head of the Economic Cooperation Section. He has worked with various UN organizations, UNRWA, UNDP, UNICEF, WFP etc for Palestinian refugees in Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, West Bank and Gaza Strip. He has participated in UNRWA's Ad-Com conference as a head of the Japanese government twice a year. He is impressed by Model UN initiatives and believes that it will provide an eye-opening opportunity for young leadership and that some of them will try to work in the UN in the future.
