Ensure you are running the latest version of Momentime from the App Store. Many issues are resolved in updates.

Close Momentime completely and reopen it. This resolves many temporary issues.

Many iOS-related issues are resolved by restarting your iPhone or iPad.
2.5 Check iOS Version
Momentime requires iOS 15.0 or later. Verify your device is running a compatible iOS version.

3. GETTING STARTED
3.1 Creating Your First Task
1. Tap the + button in the top right corner of the Tasks tab
2. Enter your task name in the "Task Title" field
3. Select a due date using the quick date options or calendar picker
4. Choose a priority level (Low, Medium, High, or Urgent)
5. Set the estimated duration for the task timer
6. Optionally assign the task to a project
7. Tap "Add" to create your task
3.2 Using Task Timers
1. Locate your task in the task list
2. Tap the play button (▶️) on the right side of the task
3. The timer will begin counting down automatically
4. Use Pause to temporarily stop the timer
5. Use Resume to continue a paused timer
6. Use Stop to cancel the timer before completion
7. When the timer completes, you will receive a notification (if enabled)
3.3 Managing Projects
1. Navigate to the Projects tab
2. Tap the + button to create a new project
3. Enter a project name, description, icon, and color
4. Tap "Create"
5. Assign tasks to projects when creating or editing tasks
6. View all tasks for a project by tapping the project card
3.4 Calendar View
1. Navigate to the Calendar tab
2. Use the arrow buttons to navigate between months
3. Tap any date to view tasks scheduled for that day
4. Tasks are indicated by dots under each date
5. Create new tasks for specific dates using the + button

4. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
4.1 Data and Privacy
Q: Is my data stored in the cloud?
A: No. All your data is stored exclusively on your local device. Momentime does not use cloud storage, servers, or external databases. Your tasks, projects, and settings never leave your device during normal app operation.
Q: Does Momentime collect my personal information?
A: No. Momentime collects zero personal data, usage analytics, or tracking information. Please review our Privacy Policy for complete details.
Q: What happens to my data if I delete the app?
A: All data stored within Momentime will be permanently deleted if you delete the app from your device. We strongly recommend using the Export Data feature (Settings → Export Data) before deleting the app if you wish to preserve your information.
Q: Is my data included in iCloud backups?
A: If you have iCloud Backup enabled on your device, your Momentime data may be automatically included in your encrypted iCloud backups. This is controlled by your iOS device settings, not by the app. To exclude Momentime from iCloud backups, go to: iPhone Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Storage → Backups → [This Device] → Momentime → Toggle Off.
4.2 Features and Functionality
Q: Do I need an internet connection to use Momentime?
A: No. Momentime operates entirely offline and does not require an internet connection for any functionality.
Q: Can I use Momentime on multiple devices?
A: Currently, Momentime data is stored locally on a single device. To transfer data between devices, you can export your data from one device (Settings → Export Data) and import it on another device (Settings → Import Data).
Q: How do recurring tasks work?
A: When creating or editing a task, you can select a recurrence pattern (Daily, Weekly, or Monthly). When you complete a recurring task, a new instance is automatically created for the next occurrence based on the pattern you selected.
Q: Can I customize timer durations?
A: Yes. When creating or editing a task, you can select from preset durations (15, 25, 30, 45, 60, 90, or 120 minutes) or use the "Custom Timer" option to set any duration from 1 minute to 24 hours.
Q: Why didn't I receive a notification when my timer finished?
A: Ensure that:
- Notifications are enabled in Momentime (Settings → Notifications)
- Notifications are enabled for Momentime in iOS Settings → Notifications → Momentime
- Your device is not in Do Not Disturb mode
- Your device's volume or notification settings allow alerts
4.3 Data Management
Q: How do I export my data?
A: Go to Settings → Export Data. The app will create a JSON backup file that you can save to your device or share via email, cloud storage, or other apps.
Q: How do I import data?
A: Go to Settings → Import Data. Select a valid Momentime backup file (.json) from your device or cloud storage. The app will restore your tasks and projects from that backup.
Q: Are backup files encrypted?
A: No. Exported backup files are unencrypted plain-text JSON files. Store them securely and do not share them in public or unsecured locations.
Q: Can I import backups from newer app versions?
A: No. Backups created in newer versions of Momentime may not be compatible with older versions. Always update to the latest app version before importing backups.
