The Lion King

For #3 we have The Lion King! The movie is based on Mufasa's son Simba. Simba is presented to the other animals by Rafiki the kingdoms advisor. 

As Mufasa shows Simba the responsibilities of the kingdom, Scar Mufasa's younger brother sets a trap to have the father and son killed. Mufasa is killed due to the trap and Simba runs away. He meets Timon and Pumbaa and grows up with the two. 

Once he is older, Simba goes to confront Scar about killing his father. They fight and Scar is thrown off the mountain cliff. Simba then takes his place as the king.
