Manoj K Kashyap, associate professor, asci/ams, amity university haryana & Scientific Advisor, CBRS, Jaipur

   Dr. Manoj K Kashyap obtained his masters' degree in Biotechnology from the Institute of Advanced Studies (IAS), C. C. S. University, Meerut in 1998. He obtained his PhD from the Institute of Bioinformatics (IOB), Banglore in Biotechnology in a joint program between IOB and the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Baltimore (MD), U.S.A. under the guidance of Professor Akhilesh Pandey.  

Manoj was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the laboratory of Prof. Januario E. Castro / Prof. Thomas J Kipps at the Moores Cancer Center of the University of California, San Diego (CA), U.S.A., where he used the "Omics" tools including bioiformatics, computational biology approaches integrated with experimental tools and techniques to study RNA splicing / spliceosome biology, and role of tumor-microenvironment in solid tumors particularly gastro-intestinal malignancies.  He served as an Assistant Professor for ~2 yrs at the School of Life & Allied Health Sciences, the Glocal University, Saharanpur (UP), India. 

Since Aug 2019, Dr Kashyap is serving as an Associate Professor at the Amity Stem Cell Institute of Amity Medical School, Amity University Haryana, Manesar (Gurugram), Haryana, India. 

He is the recipient of Integrated scholarship (State Govt. of UP), a National Merit Scholarship, (Govt. of India), an Independent Senior Res Fellowship of ICMR, New Delhi, pre-doctoral fellows from the US National Science Foundation (2002), visiting research scholarship (2002-2004) from NIH-NIDCD, and University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign (2004-2005), and TARE-SERB Associateship (2019-present). He serves as an Associate Editor for Molecular Cancer, BMC Cancer, BMC Medical Genomics, and Frontiers in Oncology: specialty Gastrointestinal Malignancies. He serves as an Editorial Board member of Cancer Cell International, and the World Journal of Clinical Oncology

Dr. Rashmi Rao

Dr. Rashmi completed her PhD from the Glocal University, Saharanpur in April 2023. Prior of joining the lab, she earned her MSc in Biotechnology from the Integral University, Lucknow (UP) in 2012. Currently, she is working as senior research fellow in the ICMR unded grant. She also completed a research grant from the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, New Delhi entitled, "Characterization of UV B-sensitivity in Cyanobacteria from local agricultural fields of Behat".

Ravita Hooda, MSc, (PhD)

Ravita is a PhD student who enrolled with Dr Kashyap (ASCI/AUH), and Dr Ruwali (AIB/AUH). Prior of joining the lab, Ravita earned her MSc in Molecular Medicine and Stem Cell Technology from the Amity Stem Cell Institute (ASCI), and B.Tech in Biotechnology from Amity Institute of Biotechnology (AIB), Amity University Haryana. She is working on triple negative breast cancer to delineate the pathophysiology of this sub-type of breast cancer.

Ravita Hooda, (MSc MMSCT: 2020-2022)

Ravita Hooda (2020-2022) is pursuing post-graduation in MMSCT at the Amity University, Haryana (AUH). Currently, she is working on Breast Cancer. Prior of joining here, Ravita completed her BTech in Biotechnology (2016-2020) from AUH. 

She is doing her internship on the topic entitled, "Identification of Differentially Expressed Genes in Breast Cancer".  

Joel Johnson, (BSc MMSCT: 2019-2022)

Joel Johnson was a BSc (2019-2022) student in Molecular Medicine and Stem Cell Technology (MM&SCT) from the Amity University Haryana, Panchgaon (Manesar). Joel completed his BSc thesis entitled, "Cytomegalovirus Profiling in Leukemia and Lymphoma Using Real-time PCR" from Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute & Research Centre, New Delhi. Prior to joining the program, He completed his high school from St. Xavier’s School Rohini, Delhi. 

Earlier, he also completed the summer internship on the topic entitled, "Transcriptomic Meta-analysis for Identification of Dysregulated Pathways in Hepatocellular Carcinoma". Among his hobbies, sleeping long hours on working as well as non-working days.

Aman R. Tiwari (MSc MMSCT: 2020-2022)

Aman completed his undergraduation in BSc MLT (2016 - 2020) from School of Medical and Allied Science, Galgotias University, Gautam Budh Nagar (UP). He also completed his 1-year internship from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Rajendra Place, New Delhi. Currently, Aman is a postgraduate student in MSc Molecular Medicine & Stem Cell Technology, Amity Medical School, Amity University Haryana. He is working on cervical cancer to identify differentially regulated molecules using manual as well as online platforms for high-throughput data.

Keerti Sharma

Keerti was an intern in the lab, she joined the crew in June 2020. Keerti earned her Bachelor's in Science from Bhim Rao Ambedkar University, Agra (UP) in 2019. She is doing her internship on the topic entitled, "Role of Cancer Stem Cell in Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma". 

She completed her thesis entitled, “Concordance between agarose gel electrophoresis- based PCR and Tapestation for the detection of FLT3- ITD mutation in Acute Myeloid leukemia” under the direct supervision of Dr. Shrinidhi Nathany, from Molecular Diagnostics, Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Centre New Delhi, India from 14th of Jan 2021 to 30th of June.


Avantika Tripathi

Avantika was an intern in the lab, she joined the crew in June 2020. Avantika earned her Bachelor's in Medical Microbiology from the Chatrapati Shahuji Maharaj University, Kanpur (UP) in 2019. She is doing her internship on the topic entitled, "An Initiative Towards Development of a Compendium of Candidate Biomarkers for Hepatocellular Carcinoma".  She has a vested interest in the field of oncology. Avantika completed her MSc thesis entitled, "Cyclosporine Causes Lipid Loading and Cytoskeletal Changes in Hepatocellular Carcinoma" under my and Dr Gayatri Ramakrishnan (ILBS, New Delhi). 's direct supervision.

Greesham Tripathi

Greesham (2019-2021) was an intern in the lab joined in June 2020. He completed his BMLT (Bachelor's In Medical Laboratory Technology) in 2018 from the Teerthanker Mahaveer Medical College and Research Centre, Moradabad.  he is interested in applying Molecular and Nanotechnology drive-therapeutic approaches in the field of Onco-therapeutics. He is doing the internship on the topic entitled, " An Interactive Mapping of the PD1-PDL1 Axis". Additionally, Greesham completed his MSc thesis Dr Gayatri Ramakrishna, ILBS, New Delhi (External Guide), and my direct supervision on the research project entitled, "Standardization of DNA Extraction from FFPE (Formalin Fixed Paraffin Embedded) Tissue Section of Liver Cancer and Mutational Analysis of Oncogenes".

Saloni gupta

Saloni (2015-2018) was an undergraduate trainee in the lab at the School of Life & Allied Health Sciences, The Glocal University, Saharanpur (UP). She completed her undergraduate study oriented project (SOP) entitled, "Applications of Natural Products for Anti-Cancer Therapy" towards BSc (Hons.) Biotechnology in 2018. 

Currently, she is pursuing her MSc in Biotechnology from Guru Nanak Khalsa College, Yamunanagar (Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra).

Priyanka Pathania, 

MSc (Hons. Zoology, 2016-2018)

Priyanka was an MS (Hons.) Zoology student in the lab. She completed her thesis in the Kashyap Lab on the entitled, "A Compendium of Potential Biomarkers for Esophageal Adenocarcinoma". 

Prior to joining the Kashyap Lab, she earned her BS in Biology (2016) from Jammu University, Jammu. She used the system biology approach to find out the biomarkers for the esophageal cancers.

Sabih Raghib (2014-2017) was an undergraduate trainee in the lab at the School of Life & Allied Health Sciences, The Glocal University, Saharanpur (UP). 

Recently, he completed his undergraduate study oriented project (SOP) entitled, "DNA Microarray: Types and Application on Esophageal Cancers for Biomarker Discovery" towards B.Sc (Hons.) Biotechnology in 2018. Raghib completed his MBA in Biotechnology (2018-2020) from the Amity University, Noida.

BHUPENDRA

Bhupendra Kumar (2014-2017) was an undergraduate trainee in the lab at the School of Life & Allied Health Sciences, The Glocal University, Saharanpur (UP). 

Recently, he completed his undergraduate study oriented project (SOP) entitled, "Mass Spectrometry-based Quantitative Proteomics Techniques for Cancer Biomarker Discovery" towards B.Sc (Hons.) Biotechnology in 2018. Currently, he is pursuing MTech in Biotechnology from Pondicherry University, Pondicherry. In spare time, he enjoys boating, fishing and reading novels.
