My name is Mohit Singh and I am an Early Childhood Education student at Humber College. I am ardent in helping the young children grow, learn and be well. Working with children has motivated me to learn on how safe, healthy and enabling environments can have a positive effect on their growth at tender stages of life.
I aspire to become a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) in future because I aim at advocating the welfare of children by providing childcare programs which are best practices in the areas of health, safety, and nutrition. Teachers ensure that children develop healthy practices that can sustain the growth of their lives.
The site is developed in order to disseminate important knowledge and resources to prevent illnesses, safety measures and nutrition within licensed childcare facilities. Knowledge on these aspects is vital when educators, families and childcare workers are concerned so that children could stay healthy and secure and at the same time their growth is fostered.
The site features key content of the Toronto Public Health, the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA), Canada Food Guide and childcare education materials in order to ensure that families and educators have a better understanding of how childcare environments can support healthy development.
