The members of the Software Engineering Lab seeks solutions to software requirements engineering and business information systems problems arising in numerous application areas involving fuzzy data, rough data, and fuzzy-soft data. These includes requirements elicitation and prioritization problems, requirements modeling problems, and software requirements analysis using goal oriented concepts. We are also focusing on the applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) in Software Engineering and Business Information Systems.
In Software Engineering, our primary focus is on different processes of Requirements Engineering and to develop some new techniques by integrating the knowledge of goal oriented concepts and AI/ML. The core focus of our research is divided into following areas, i.e., software requirements selection and prioritization, software requirements modeling and analysis, and software cost estimation. Our work in this field have appeared in the following journals and conferences:
Expert Systems with Applications, Elsevier, 2022, SCI Expanded, Impact Factor: 6.954
