TERMS OF PAYMENT: Upon the signing of the “Costume Rental Agreement”, the
Customer agrees to pay all rental fees. If any costume is damaged, the Customer agrees to pay any “Damage Fee” as outlined below. We accept checks, money orders, cash, or PayPal for costume rentals.
RENTAL FEES: All rentals are rented on a per student per class basis.
CARE OF GARMENTS: The Customer agrees that all costumes shall be used for the purpose and in the manner for which they are intended. Only the Performer who will perform in each specific costume is allowed to wear the costume. The costume(s) are not to be used for any other purpose than originally intended.
During the term of the “Costume Rental Agreement”, the Customer agrees to use their best effort to care for and protect the costume(s), and ensure they remain clean and sanitary. The Costume(s) must remain only in the care of the Customer.
The Customer agrees to carefully store the costume(s) in the following manner:
All Tutus must be hung upside-down away from pets and young children.
Tunics/Dresses/Tops/Jumpers/Pants: must be hung up and kept away from pets and young children.
Headpieces and Accessories: Must be kept clean and stored to avoid any damage.
All costumes MUST be stored in a smoke-free and pet-free area of their residence while the costume(s) are in the Customer’s possession.
The Customer further agrees that the Performer will adhere to the following conditions while wearing the costume(s).
The Performer must wear appropriate under-garments (underwear, trunks) to protect the costume(s) against excessive sweat or other stains.
No smoking (cigarettes, cigars, e-cigarettes, etc.) while wearing or near the costume(s).
No chewing gum while wearing the costume(s). Limit snacks while wearing the costume.
Water or clear liquid only while wearing costume(s).
No using pens, pencils, markers, dyes of any kind, or any material that colors fabric or paper while wearing the costume(s). Crayons are ok.
Only the Performer who will perform in the costume(s) will wear the costume(s).
CLEANING OF COSTUMES: The Customer is DENIED permission to clean, dry-clean, spot clean, use any stain remover, wash, or dry any costume item. However, we recognize that in certain circumstances rapid attention may remove or alleviate some stains (i.e. blood). Blood stains should be immediately rinsed out with cold water only, and you should contact us for further instructions before attempting any other cleaning. This does not release the Customer from responsibility from the DAMAGE assessment or any fees.
ALTERATIONS: The Customer agrees that the costume(s) are rented as-is.
The Customer and Performer are not allowed to use any tape, iron-on bonding web, glues, sticker name tags, staples, paper-clips, or any adhesive. Safety Pins may be used to secure straps if needed.
No part of any costume may be cut, dyed, painted, glued, sewed or in any other way altered.
No decorations may be added to any costume.
DAMAGES: Upon return, all costume(s) will be inspected for damage. Damage includes but is not limited to: smoke odor, pet odor, rips and tears (more than usual wear and tear), altered items without permission, stains, etc. If deemed damaged, the Customer is responsible for any cleaning fees or replacement fee.
RECEIVING OF COSTUMES: Upon receipt of costume the Customer should unpack and inspect all items. The Customer must inform Mohawk Valley Performing Arts Center, LLC immediately of any damage on receipt of costume. Any damage or discrepancy not reported to Mohawk Valley Performing Arts Center, LLC immediately upon receipt is presumed to be the responsibility of the Customer. The Customer should retain and reuse all packaging and packing materials for return, unless damaged, in which case suitably similar materials must be obtained and utilized for returns.
RETURN OF COSTUMES: The Customer is solely responsible for the return of all items to Mohawk Valley Performing Arts Center, LLC. All costumes remain the Customer’s responsibility until we receive them back at our premises.
OWNERSHIP: All costume(s) remain the solely-owned property of Mohawk Valley Performing Arts Center, LLC, regardless of possession.
AUTHORITY AND SERVICE: The Customer recognizes and acknowledges that Mohawk Valley Performing Arts Center, LLC shall have complete authority to determine the purpose for which any and all rented costume items may be used. Mohawk Valley Performing Arts Center, LLC reserves the right to refuse to rent any costume item to any individual for any reason.
All Costumes must be returned by May 3, 2026 or a $10 fee per day per costume will be charged.
