I am Mohammad Mashiur Rahman. I am an Assistant Teaching Professor of Economics At Northern Arizona University. I received my Ph.D. and MA in Economics from the University of New Mexico, USA. Prior to that, I received my MA and BSS in Economics from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. I am an applied microeconomist with a research interest broadly concentrating on environmental and natural resource economics, health impacts from environmental pollution, and spatial econometrics. My research skills include designing a choice experiment, spatial modeling, and economic modeling for policy recommendations.
My general teaching interest is in microeconomics, environmental and natural resource economics, econometrics, health economics, and macroeconomics. I have taught multiple classes at undergraduate and graduate levels and was assigned as Teaching Assistant (TA) for several economics courses.
I grew up in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Outside work, I like road cycling, playing badminton, and cricket. I also enjoy hiking in the southwestern US.
