Hello! I’m Mohammad Maksudur Rahman (Maksud), a postdoctoral research associate at the School of Economic Sciences, Washington State University. I hold a Ph.D. in Economics, along with advanced degrees in Statistics and Development Studies. My research focuses on international trade, agricultural economics, health economics, and applied econometrics, with a particular emphasis on the causal analysis of economic impacts of animal diseases and agricultural policies. I am currently working on projects that examine global trade dynamics, disease impacts, and mitigation strategies. Additionally, I have extensive teaching experience in economics at multiple levels.
Prior to my academic career, I spent two years working in monitoring and evaluation for a major international development program in Bangladesh, funded by UKaid and Australian Aid. This experience shaped my interest in addressing real-world policy challenges through rigorous research.
Here is my CV.
