The aim of the project was to spread awareness of basic rights, duties, ideas, and roles of individuals in the selected rural villages located outskirts of Bangalore with the support of the village panchayat of kallubalu
The rural development project was planned for the experience of Creativity, Activity, and Service (CAS) which would help the group of pre-service teachers to learn from experience before transacting the same in their professional career as CAS supervisors. The above pictures provide insight into the group of participants from the department of School of Education from CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bangalore, engaging in helping the local primary health center with cleaning, waste management, the school children of the locality to understand first aid, safety practices, the parents about the importance of education and civil rights and responsibilities.

It all started with the idea of me as an individual, work for a social cause. However, the thought of we 'group work would yield more' encouraged me to ask my fellow batchmates if they would like to work together. With 22 individuals showing interest, I approached the village panchayat of Kallubalu, a group of villages in the outskirts of Bangalore. Once the plan was explained and the authorities were convinced. With their support, the group planned to work every Sunday of October, November, and December. The team consisted of the majority who had low or no knowledge of the local language and hence, making internal groups, assigning roles, participating, and managing were my major roles. The team effort resulted in the successful completion of the project and the authorities awarded team with a certificate of appreciation.
