Community Engagement
I started helping out in the community at the age of 14 years, there was an organization that was teaching teenagers how to protect theirselves from germs and it was called health and safety. We were helping to clean the streets of our community so that we can stop littering and recycle the waste that was found in our streets, The project was a great thing since it was keeping many teenagers off the streets so there are better things to do than staying in the corner and smoking. I also joined another program during my high school era, we were asking for donations that would be able to maintain children who grew up with no parents.
In the matter of donations of orphanages I did it since it was something related to me, I also grew up with no parents. My motivation in doing donation is that I wanted to prove that it doesnt only require a mother raise a child but it takes a community to raise one. I was also doing speeches in the orphanages sharing my experience about a life with no parent, this was really helping many children as they wanted to speak with someone who is related to the situation unlike someone out there.
Helping out in the community is something that I find interesting and fondly because it is something that raised me and I would really appreciate it if it can work for other children.
