1st Edition Breaking imaginaries
1st Edition Breaking imaginaries
On March 12, within the framework of Women's Day week, the activity "Breaking imaginaries" was held, a very inspiring day in Vic. We had 9 talks by women of Moroccan origin from different fields (philology, education, science, medicine, nursing and entrepreneurship, etc) and two group activities.
The speakers explained their trajectories, current situations and difficulties that have been encountered along the way and advice to face them. Some of these difficulties: impostor syndrome, hijab, economic difficulties, linguistic prejudices, among others.
The first activity was a speed dating, accompanied by the creation, by groups, of canvases of difficulties and sources of motivation. We were able to observe common patterns between both groups, as well as difficulties that in some cases give the opposite effect (each reality is a different world). ).
"De-invisible" was the last activity. We were able to match 50 women to 50 milestones, discoveries, facts.
The activity was coordinated by: Yousra Haddad Belfkih and Olfat Khannous Lleiffe
