Read the advice in the "peach-coloured" box in the upper right-hand corner.
Look at instructions 4a and 4b. Then read the very interesting article about "Extreme Interviews".
Then do Exercise 4c. You may not have a "partner", but be your own best friend and try to focus on the highlighted words and phrases. NOTE: This is the type of text we might use on the exam.
For example, the exam question may be:
"Go to the reading on page 6 and use the highlighted words, or their derivations, to complete the following dialogue"
A: That was a very _____________ movie (bizarre)
B: Yes, those animals were very strange, but I liked how the director _____________ the topic of "global warming" (approached)
Another exam question may be:
"Go to the reading on page 5 and write questions which would elicit the following answers about this text"
Question: _____________________________________________________
Answer: Yes, that's right: we prefer workers to think and respond quickly to unexpected situations
So, a good "question" would be: "Do you want people to think on their feet?"
