The easiest way to check for a conflict is to make a clean test:

Move your Mods folder to desktop and create a new one with only the mod, its required dependencies and Better Exceptions
Delete localthumbcache.package
Start the game and test the issue again
If the problem is gone, another mod is probably conflicting with it

If you have a lot of mods, you don't need to test them one by one.
Put half of your mods back in
Start the game and test
If the issue comes back, the conflicting mod is in that half
If it doesn't, test the other half
Keep splitting the affected group in half until you find the culprit
Delete localthumbcache.package each time you change your Mods folder while testing
