- Download the mod
Download the latest version from the mod's Patreon post or another official download page, like CurseForse.

If your download is a .zip, .rar or .7z file, extract it first.
Do not place compressed files directly inside your Mods folder. The files you actually install will usually be .package and sometimes .ts4script

Place the files inside:
Documents → Electronic Arts → The Sims 4 → Mods
You can create folders inside your Mods folder to keep things organized, BUT If the mod contains a .ts4script file, keep it no more than one subfolder deep inside your Mods folder
4. Enable Mods in the Game

Open The Sims 4 and go to:
Game Options → Other
✅ Enable Custom Content and Mods
✅ Script Mods Allowed
Then restart the game

Some mods may have additional requirements (such as XML Injector or Core Library), optional files or specific instructions. Always check the original download post before installing

When a new version of a mod is released:

Delete the old version from your Mods folder
Download and extract the latest version from the original post
Place the new files in your Mods folder
Make sure you don't have duplicate or older copies of the mod elsewhere in your Mods folder
⚠️ Do not overwrite old files with the new ones. Sometimes an update changes the mod name, so delete the old version to avoid duplicates
