The purpose of this webpage is to show how Professional Development at schools can be personalized, self-paced, and use best practices.
The argument is, especially right now, teacher PD should model best practices for remote learning. It will increase engagement, reduce teachers' anxiety, and create space for experimentation.

Intro to Modern Classrooms PD
The goal of the following lesson is to begin introducing you to the Modern Classrooms Framework for teaching remotely (and even in person when we eventually get back in the building). You will be experiencing this lesson from the perspective of a student, by going through a module created by Ms. Glickman, Ms. Williamson, and Mr. Browning.

By the end of the PD, teachers will be introduced to the Modern Classrooms model and how it can be applied to a broad spectrum of content areas.
By the end of the PD, teachers will be able to apply strategies they can immediately apply to develop stronger lessons and more engaging modules.
By the end of the PD, teachers will see an exemplar of what quality remote instruction is and how students can engage in online asynchronous learning (modules).
