BACKGROUND HISTORY

We’ve been around since the early ‘80s— in various incarnations.
 

We started out as “Model Horse Club of Canada” using the NING platform as our community forum, until NING no longer became financially sustainable.

In the early 2000’s we migrated over to Yahoo Groups. We used the FLICKR web site to host our online photo shows. It was around this time (2007) we established a Facebook page to coincide with our online model horse community. 

The Yahoo Groups platform was shut down for good in 2020, forcing us to yet again had to look for a new home. The Model Horse Club of Canada went into a brief hiatus as we re-focused our energies into building an online photo show community.

In 2023, we renamed our Facebook page to “Model Horses International” to better reflect our members from around the world— all whom share a love & fascination for this wonderful hobby of ours!
