Available Positions

Main Positions:

American President:

• The MOST POWERFUL sim position.

• They run the nation of the United States of America.

• They can propose their own bills in the voting chat.

• They can sign and veto laws proposed by senators.

• They can sign 1 executive order per year in office.

• They are up for election every 4 weeks.

• They can run up to 4 terms total, 2 consecutively.

Senator:

• They can propose bills in the voting chat.

• They are up for election every 6 years (assuming their seat is contested.)

• They can run for as many terms as they like.

• If a state does not have a Governor, the Senator will take the role of the governor as well.

Governor:

• They can make decisions over affairs within their own state.

• They are up for election every 4 years.

• They can run for as many terms as they like.

• Aside from roleplay, they are essentially powerless outside of their own state, and cannot influence decisions on the national level like senators can.

Supreme Court Justice:

• They oversee and rule on cases about sitting precedents and controversies that arise within sim events.

• They can only be appointed by the sitting president in order to serve.

• They remain PERMANENTLY on the Court until they retire.

LOWER COURT

• Same as the Supreme Court, only these rulings can be appealed.

• This position is electable.

Mod Team:

• Also known as the BOA, this is an EXCLUSIVE position, which deals directly with internal sim affairs, events, management, and mechanics.

• Typically reserved for the most QUALIFIED, NONBIASED, and TRUSTED players in the sim. But if you think you have what it takes, feel free to DM @USESims, and we'll be sure to consider it.

Smaller Positions:

• Hero: can be but is not limited to one-time events, for the SOLE purpose of event progression. (Ie: War Hero, Soldier/General, Discoverer, Scientist, Doctor, Explorer, Astronaut, Billionaire/Trillionaire, etc.)

• Villian: usually only used for a one-time event, for the SOLE purpose of causing trouble and chaos. (Ie: War Criminal, Rebel Leader, Terrorist, Criminal, Rioter, Troublemaker, etc.)

• Mayor/State Senator: can influence decisions made by certain senators/governor. Only has direct power over their respective district/city, not the state as a whole.

• Other Position: If you wish to have a position in the sim that has not been listed above, DM @USESims with your idea and perhaps you can be it.
