We seperate the network into four distinct catagories: Management, Data, Voice, Wireless, Guest_Wireless, and Student_Wireless
- Management: This VLAN is like the backbone of the network. It is set on all ports that connect switches together. All other VLANs will be tagged on those ports to allow the traffic to cross the network
- Data: Used for all ports that end at a user computer
- Voice: Used for all ports ending at a phone. Any port that is untagged Voice will be tagged with Data
- Wireless: Used for Ports that end at an Access point. Will be configured on the Access point controller as the VLAN for the Staff SSID
- Guest_Wireless: Used for Ports that end at an Access point. Will be configured on the Access point controller as the VLAN for the Guest SSID. Will be tagged
- Student_Wireless: Used for Ports that end at an Access point. Will be configured on the Access point controller as the VLAN for the Student SSID. Will be tagged
