MoBI 2024 Code of Conduct
As a community we are committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all participants, including attendees, speakers, sponsors, and organizers. Help us create a human-centered space for collaboration, communication, and contribution, rather than competition. We expect all individuals to adhere to the following code of conduct during the conference:
Respect
Treat everyone with respect and kindness.
Avoid offensive language and gestures.
Do not engage in harassment, personal attacks or any form of disruptive behavior.
Embrace Diversity
Welcome people with different profiles, such as gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, ethnicity, nationality, age, or religious beliefs.
Do not make stereotyping remarks.
Professionalism
Be open-minded: MoBI community encourages interdisciplinary communication. Accommodate varying levels of scientific expertise, different perspectives, and different skill sets of all researchers.
Engage in constructive conversations.
Encourage everyone to ask questions and speak up comfortably: refrain from making intimidating, derogatory or gate-keeping comments.
Report Incidents
For minor violations, remind the individual of this code of conduct.
Report any major violations to conference organizers or staff immediately (mobiconference@protonmail.me)
In case you want a more private space for reporting, please email one of the following contacts: klaus.gramann@tu-berlin.de / nadine.jacobsen@uol.de / sein.jeung@campus.tu-berlin.de / anna.wunderlich@tu-berlin.de / manca.peskar@zrs-kp.si . The corresponding organizer will keep your identity and contents of the report strictly confidential and engage in a discussion with you to find a solution you feel comfortable with.
Violations may result in warnings, expulsion without refund, or prohibition from participation in future MoBI Conferences.
Remember, MoBI conference aims to create a positive and inclusive environment. By following this code of conduct, you help us build a respectful and collaborative atmosphere.
