Privacy Policy – MoAuth: Authenticator App
Effective date: July 23, 2025
Privacy Policy
This page describes how MobileOcean (“MobileOcean,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the MoAuth: Authenticator App (“Service”).
We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.
We collect minimal data — only what’s necessary to provide and improve the Service. By using MoAuth, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
Unless otherwise stated, terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meaning as in our Terms of Service.
Our Commitment to Privacy
At MobileOcean, we believe that privacy is best protected by minimizing data collection. The less we know about you, the safer your information remains.
We do not store or have access to your authentication secrets, codes, or accounts. All sensitive data is encrypted and stored locally on your device or securely in your iCloud (on iOS) or Google Drive (on Android) account — never on our servers.
Personal Data
We do not collect or have access to personal data you save inside the MoAuth app.
All authenticator tokens, codes, and related data are securely encrypted and synchronized only through your device’s cloud account (iCloud or Google Drive).
When you use our software, we may record minimal usage analytics, subscription validation data, and crash reports.
This limited data helps us improve app performance and stability.
If you contact us for support, we may collect your email address solely for communication purposes — and nothing more.
Subscription Validation
We use receipt validation to verify your MoAuth Premium subscription status and to manage upgrades or renewals.
This includes limited information such as:
Receipt validation data
In-app purchase identifiers
Subscription product details
Subscription status
To manage these transactions securely, we use RevenueCat, a trusted third-party service.
RevenueCat processes your purchase receipts in accordance with its own privacy policy.
Usage Analytics
Our usage analytics are designed to be minimal and anonymous — just enough to help us understand how MoAuth is used and how we can make it better.
We may collect the following information:
App launch and close events
Device language and region (locale)
Device type, CPU architecture, and operating system version
We currently use Firebase to collect and process this anonymous analytics data.
Firebase helps us identify trends — not individuals.
Crash Logs
When MoAuth unexpectedly closes, crash logs are automatically generated and sent the next time you open the app.
These reports help us detect and fix bugs — they do not contain your personal or authentication data.
