TOP Film Production Project

Students are creating a short film highlighting the experiences of various stakeholders who have participated in Work-Based Learning with TCAC. Students conduct interviews, learn about videography and project management, and learn to edit/create a short film.

FDNY Job Exploration with Firefighters Aleigha Powder and Jonathan Mejia

Students explored career pathways with the Fire Department of NY and had the opportunity to learn from firefighters about a "day in the life" of an NYFD worker.

Career Coaching with Bridges to Work

Supported by the staff of MNTCAC and the Bridges to Work Career Coaches, students explored basic employer expectations. This interactive session offered students the opportunity to review ethics in the workplace by exploring real-life scenarios.

Career Exploration: 3D Printing with MakerBot

Founded in 2009, MakerBot runs the largest 3D design community in the world! We welcomed Andrea Zermeno to present a workshop to TOP Students about tech, arts, design, and 3D printing.

Introduction to Mentorship with MentorNY

Cultivating mentor relationships can help you with your career, college, and transition goals! This was a great opportunity for students to learn about the value of mentorship with a representative from MentorNY.

Careers in Law Enforcement: Work-Based Learning with NYPD

Many of the TOP Students are interested in careers in law enforcement, forensic science, and criminal justice. Students participate in weekly work-based learning with two youth officers from the NYPD.
