Join us at John Jay College in Manhattan (524 W 59th St.) on Saturday, November 7, 2026 for the NYC Citywide Transition Summit for High School Students & Families, hosted by New York City Public Schools’ Transition and College Access Centers, the Transition Alliance, and The City University of New York.

This empowering event is designed to support students with IEPs or 504 Plans and their families with transition planning as they prepare for life after high school, including guidance and resources for planning for college, career, or independent living. With dozens of providers from across the postsecondary readiness landscape including higher education, vocational programs, employment supports, independent living services, and community organizations—you’ll have the chance to explore a wide range of pathways for life after high school.
What to expect at the 2026 Citywide Transition Summit:
Opportunities to connect with colleges, career, technical, and vocational programs, service providers, employment agencies, community-based organizations, OPWDD providers, and transition experts.
Breakout workshops and one-on-one transition consultations.
Resources designed to help students and families prepare for life after high school.
