Students are creating a short film highlighting the experiences of various stakeholders who have participated in Work-Based Learning with TCAC. Students conduct interviews, learn about videography and project management, and learn to edit/create a short film.
Students explored career pathways with the Fire Department of NY and had the opportunity to learn from firefighters about a "day in the life" of an NYFD worker.
Supported by the staff of MNTCAC and the Bridges to Work Career Coaches, students explored basic employer expectations. This interactive session offered students the opportunity to review ethics in the workplace by exploring real-life scenarios.

Cultivating mentor relationships can help you with your career, college, and transition goals! This was a great opportunity for students to learn about the value of mentorship with a representative from MentorNY.
Many of the TOP Students are interested in careers in law enforcement, forensic science, and criminal justice. Students participate in weekly work-based learning with two youth officers from the NYPD.
TOP Students explored what is needed to build a successful and meaningful career in technology and had the opportunity to participate in a fun activity to see what it would be like to be a coder!
