MN STI TESTING WEEK MEDIA KIT
May 4th - 9th, 2026, join clinics across Minnesota invite and encourage teens and young adults to get tested for sexually transmitted infections!
Background
MN STI Testing week, was originally organized through CRUSH, Community Restoring Urban Youth Sexual Health, a committee of young people, health professionals and stakeholders with a passion for reducing STI rates for teens and young adults (ages 13-26). The event has grown statewide and is now supported through the Minnesota Department of Health.
Clinics invited to participate in STI testing week*
Offer STI testing services for free, low-cost, sliding-fee, or offer the ability to be covered by insurance.
Able to offer confidential health care to teens and young adults
Offer comprehensive, medically accurate, reproductive health counseling and education
Offer all-options counseling along with positive pregnancy tests
*Organizers have the right to refuse or change clinic participation
Goals
Reduce stigma by normalizing testing for STIs
Reduce STI transmissions by catching positive cases, and
Connecting patients to necessary treatments
Increase health-access for teens and young adults (ages 13-26)
Build community among clinics offering sexual and reproductive health services
