MN Student Data Privacy Law 2022

Updates on the newest Data Privacy Regulations and online and The Minnesota Legislature passed a law in the spring of 2022 around protecting students privacy in digital environments. This law put requirements on technology vendors and schools around how digital resources can be used and must be protected. This session will explore what school systems need to know about this law and things to consider as we provide instruction through digital resources and technology. learning.

Incorporating Career and Technical Student Organizations into Online Schools

Looking for afterschool programs that offer co-curricular activities within your school? Did you know several of Minnesota's career and technical student organizations offer virtual chapters and leadership programming that coincide with exploratory career and technical education classes?
Career and technical student organizations (CTSOs) bring so many benefits into the classroom for students AND INSTRUCTORS! Join this session to learn more about career and technical student organizations, and how we can work together to ensure our students in online schools have the opportunity to participate in organizations such as BPA, DECA, FCCLA, FFA, HOSA, and SkillsUSA.
There will be time at the end of the session for questions, conversations and collaboration.
