Reimagining Discipline Practices: Leading With Community

It’s time to address discipline disparities due to decision-making based on implicit bias. As our mindsets and practices evolve, it is essential that schools reimagine their code of conduct and student engagement practices to ensure they center discipline practices as pathways to model, teach and reinforce positive behavior across the school community. This session will help educators build capacity and secure resources they need to reimagine their discipline practices and procedures to reflect the values and needs of the community and operationalize the use of restorative and supportive, discipline framework.


Participants will learn about the critical elements of a restorative and supportive discipline framework.

Participants will reflect on and operationalize values, beliefs, and mindsets necessary to promote restorative and supportive discipline

Participants will generate ideas for community driven practices to launch the new school year
