[Sarah:] So I saw that there actually were a few questions about bedrock. Bedrock is a thing that you can get in Minecraft. I don't think I'll be able to place it now -- oh no, I can. And this block if, you are in your regular survival mode, this block is completely unbreakable. You find it at the bottom of the world, and it's what basically stops you from falling out into the void.
[Kim]: We don't want you to fall into the void. That sounds bad.
[Sarah]: Yeah, so, I don't know, is there, like, a real world equivalent of bedrock?
[Kim]: Yeah, I mean, you know, we think about, trying to think of an example of where bedrock would come in. So if you have a cottage, and sometimes there's some sediments that are there first. If you were to dig underneath those sediments, eventually you would come to bedrock, sort of that solid ground of material. Ontario is covered with glacial sediments, so there was big sheets of ice that covered Ontario at one point, and all that, those ice blocks, ripped up our bedrock, and then as the ice melted, it deposited a lot of the rock and the sediments back onto the surface of Ontario. So you actually have to dig through the sediments to get down to the bedrock, but, yeah that's very accurate. It's very hard, and that's where you want to put your cottage on, is the nice, really strong structures of bedrock, for sure.
[Sarah:] Awesome.
