The aim of the project EcoYouth Connect: Greening the Future is to foster collaboration between secondary school students from Lithuania, Norway and Iceland to develop practical solutions for ecological challenges, focusing on building green skills, promoting sustainability, and enhancing knowledge for a competitive and socially responsible Nordic-Baltic region.
Main objectives of the project:
Share best practices and compare approaches to sustainability education, leading to the development of collaborative solutions.
Develop students' practical skills in sustainability, teamwork, and cross-cultural collaboration.
Introduce innovative teaching practices that integrate sustainability and interdisciplinary learning.
To address local environmental challenges, create tangible tools and solutions, such as waste management models and biodiversity mapping tools.
Encourage communities, educators, and students to practice environmentally friendly behavior.
Build a sustainable partnership between Mažeikiai M. Račkauskas Gymnasium, Åsane VGS and Lundarskóli for future educational and environmental initiatives.
Strengthen the schools’ capacities to implement project-based and cross-cultural learning approaches that align with global sustainability goals.
