This weekend Father Tom celebrates his farewell Masses in Melton as our parish priest, following his decision to retire.

A small gathering was held at St Francis Primary School on Friday 19th September, to thank him and wish him a happy retirement. David Hall, a member of the pastoral parish council, gave a short speech and announced that just over £2,500 had been collected as a gift. Father intends to use the money towards new vestments when he celebrates Masses for Our Lady.
