When does the Live Stream start? About 5 minutes before the start of Mass. The equipment is turned on in the church about 10 minutes before Mass begins however, clicking the link about 5 minutes before gives ample time for the stream to have started and be viewable.

Do I need a Google/ YouTube account to watch the Live Stream? You do not need an account to watch the live stream of Mass and unless you want to, should skip or ignore any requests to set up an account or sign in .

Why am I'm being asked to pay watch the Live Stream? YouTube may prompt you to sign up for YouTube Premium. YouTube premium is not required to watch the Live Stream and you should click 'No Thanks', or 'Skip Trial' if you receive any messages to this effect. The parish would never use a streaming service where you must pay to watch Mass online.

Why can't I comment in live chat? Only people who have signed in using a Google or YouTube account can comment. This allows live streamers to moderate messages and remove any that may be deemed inappropriate. Leaving a comment is completely optional, some people do, others don't.

Are the Mass responses going to be included in the live chat? We are restricted to replies of 200 characters in live chat and therefore advise you for the time being to either download, or print, the Sunday Message with the Order of Mass, or use a missal. We are looking at how we can put this online.

What are the videos suggested at the side of, and after the Live Stream? These videos are suggested by YouTube and the parish has no control over what is suggested, or their content. The videos displayed are based on algorithms of various factors such as location, previously watched videos etc., and will be different for each user. As with any internet use it is important to stay safe online

The stream seems to stop and start a lot. If the stream is stopping and starting you may need to change the picture quality to a lower setting. Hover your mouse pointer over the video and click the cog icon (Settings) at the bottom. Next click Quality and choose a lower setting from the options. For example, if a tick is next to 1080p (the tick indicates your current setting) try choosing 720p. To allow YouTube to automatically adjust to the best quality available for your device,  click Auto.
