The analytical Chemistry research group focuses on developing colorimetric and fluorescence sensors for the detection of various pollutants such as PFAS, toxic metals, pesticides, industrial organic pollutants etc. We are developing small organic molecules and carbon quantum dots to explore these applications. This group is also interested in decoding the interaction of these pollutants with proteins to conformation and aggregation. We are also interested in activity-based phytochemical isolation from some selected indigenous plants.
Developing colorimetric and fluorescence sensors for wide range of applications in food, pharma, packaging, water etc
To study the effect of food contaminants on protein aggregation and control it by using phytochemicals
Extraction and isolation of phytochemicals from medicinally important indigenous plant
