These photos are from 2 productions held at Valencia College. The floor plan shows the painting needed to theme the black box theater floors, as well as the stage itself.
We painted the floors, and also added a pattern using a feather duster.
The photo of the flats on the top right is from another Valencia production. These flats were meant to look like weathered metal walls. To get the look down, we painted our tones on the flat, and combined them together using a sponge roller.
These photos are from 3 productions at the New Tampa Performing Arts Center. We would build platforms, flats, ramps, and bring them together to build the set to the lead designer's intent.
We used power tools (drills, impact drivers, routers, stapler guns, etc.) , and utilized shop tools (chop saws, rip saws, jigsaws, etc.) to make our scenery.
When certain set pieces are finished, we begin to do set dressing! For a production like Little Shop of Horrors, we added loads of plants to the flower shop. For Into the Woods, we hung foliage down from the pipes where we set our trees on, and we also constructed our moving tree props.
Most of my creative design projects are usually 2D/3D drafting and modeling based (which you can see on my CAD page!)
However, I also enjoy designing props, costumes, and concept boarding! The concept board on the left is the costume concepts for 4 characters from "The House of Bernarda Alba".
The play is set in Mid 1900's Spain, and I had to find clothing designs that were in period, and give each costume colors, textures, and accessories that are said in the script, while also basing it off of the personality of the characters.
I have experience with programming on ETC lighting consoles, as well as running them during shows. On audio consoles, I have experience with production, and also running a soundboard during shows.
This photo is from the booth of Valencia College's PAC theater, we were running their summer dance show. Throughout the show's run, I'd switch between running lights on night, and audio the other!
