Summary
IT Strategy, Policy, and Governance are important processes to any organization in achieving their objective and overall goals under any conditions. As information technology continues to grow on an ongoing basis, organizations will continue to see a need to continue develop and modify their strategies, policies, and governance for the technology. For organizations to remain successful, IT and business professionals must ensure a clear alignment in the various areas of their organization.
Creating Value is the first step in representing the value in meeting actual business needs and functional requirements through IT and to develop a clear and thorough understanding of those needs. With a clear understanding of the business needs, IT professionals can effectively plan for creating strategy, policy and governance. In areas such as IT project Management, managers must remain up to date with changes, needs, and requirements of not only the IT but the overall business to be able to develop a strategy enabling them to work effectively through the projects and all those involved in the project.
Conclusion
This course provided important information related to IT strategy, policy, and governance and allowed students using a Toolkit to gather and place these information together. Gathering the content of this Toolkit allowed me, as well as others, to gain a better understanding of the IT concepts and how they fit into information technology and businesses. This Toolkit is one which can always be at use and referenced at any time allowing everyone to represent their experience and educational background helping them in search of better career plans.
