Selected instruments in our lab
We build and modify vacuum lines by ourselves. Pictured is a fluorination line for multiple sulfur isotope analysis. We have more for other research purposes such as sample pretreatments and purification as well as physical chemistry experiments.
We measure triple oxygen and quadruple sulfur isotope compositions of samples prepared offline using a Thermo Scientific 253 plus IRMS. We will develop contineous-flow methods for isotope measurements in new species using gas bench in the future.
We measure radiosulfur isotopes using a Quantulus GCT 6220. Different from the traditional Quantulus 1220, this new version shields background noises using an active shielding function called "Guard Compensation Technology".
Collaborations with other labs in our institute
We are closely collobrating with our colleagues for isotope measurements using many state-of-the-art instruments available in our institute. Multiple oxygen and sulfur isotope measurements using SIMS have been developed by our colleagues. We are now developing multiple sulfur isotope measurement techinques at nano-mole & nano-meter scales using MC-ICP-MS and NanoSIMS.
