I’ve worked hands-on in veterinary hospitals for over 4 years between Brazil and U.S.A — as a trained and experienced veterinary assistant, caring for pets of all ages, temperaments, and medical needs.
More than that, I’m a proud pet parent to Koda, Zyna, and Maggie, so I truly understand how important it is to trust the person watching your pets. That’s why I created MKZ Pet Care — a service rooted in reliability, professional care, and genuine love.
The idea for MKZ started after a sitter canceled on me last-minute during a trip. I was panicked and heartbroken — and I knew right then that no pet parent should ever have to feel that way. So I made it my mission to be the person you can always count on.
Whether your pet needs a walk, medication, or just a gentle and patient presence while you're away — I’ve got you covered. My approach is always fear-free, honest, and tailored to your pet’s unique routine and personality.
And while I care for your pets like family today, I’m also working hard toward my dream of becoming a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) in the future.

I’ve dedicated my career to helping people as a full-time paramedic, working in high-pressure situations where staying calm, compassionate, and reliable makes all the difference. Those same qualities guide the way I care for animals at MKZ Pet Care.
Growing up in Vermont, I was lucky to share my life with amazing pets — including my dog Bella, and my cat, Lily, who’s now a spoiled senior still living with my family. They taught me the value of patience, empathy, and the unconditional love our pets give us.
At MKZ, I bring both my medical background and a genuine passion for animals. Whether it’s caring for pets with special needs, offering extra patience to anxious pets, or simply being a steady and kind presence, I strive to make every pet feel safe and loved while their family is away.
As co-owner of MKZ Pet Care, I’m proud to build this business alongside Ana. Together, we’re dedicated to serving our community as a husband-and-wife team, offering pet care rooted in professionalism, trust, and genuine heart.

MKZ Pet Care was built on a simple but powerful belief: pets deserve dependable, loving care, and families deserve peace of mind when they’re away. After experiencing a sitter cancel on us at the last minute, we knew firsthand how stressful and heartbreaking it can be to feel uncertain about your pets’ well-being. That moment inspired us to create MKZ — a service built on reliability, trust, and compassion.
As a husband-and-wife team, we combine our different strengths and experiences to provide care that goes beyond the basics. We value community, transparency, and genuine connection with every client and every pet we meet. To us, MKZ isn’t just a business — it’s a promise to treat your furry family as if they were our own.
