Jaehoon Shim

Biography
Jaehoon Shim (S’20–M’24) was born in South Korea, in 1992. He received the B.S. degree in automotive engineering from Hanyang University, Seoul, South Korea, in 2018, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering and computer science from Seoul National University, Seoul, in 2024.
From 2018 to 2019, he was a Researcher with Hyundai Motors Company, South Korea. From 2024 to 2025, he was a Staff Engineer with Samsung Electronics Company, Ltd., South Korea. Since 2025, he has been with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Myong-Ji University, Yongin, where he is currently an Assistant Professor. His research interests include embedded AI for electric energy and drive systems, and motor control.
