Overview of expected gigs in Spring
Heidi White Concert - Mon Mar 16th 6pm at Grace Church - 1325 E Jefferson St, Morton, IL 61550 - Learn more HERE - Prelude and Jr. Prelude will be playing 2nd on the program. After that, we get to listen to many other great student groups followed by Turas, a traditional Irish band. Entry fee for Audience is $5, which goes towards the scholarships. Students should be there by 5:30 in all black.

Jr. Prelude is an extra ensemble where students learn how to play in a small group without a conductor. Mr. Akers was a part of this group when he attended MJHS in 2007 and 2008, and continued performing with Prelude in high school. In college he played in a string quartet, ran it like a business, made money playing at weddings and other events and continues to perform with colleagues from time to time. This group is the face of the Junior high orchestra. They perform at gigs such as volleyball games, madrigal dinners, retirement homes, school events and recruiting events to get elementary students interested in joining orchestra.
