Rehearsals are each Wednesday before school from 7:20-7:50. Students should arrive around 7:15 so we can tune and start on time.

Students should enter through the main entrance of the Jr. High

Jr. Prelude is an extra ensemble where students learn how to play in a small group without a conductor. Mr. Akers was a part of this group when he attended MJHS in 2007 and 2008, and continued performing with Prelude in high school. In college he played in a string quartet, ran it like a business, made money playing at weddings and other events and continues to perform with colleagues from time to time. This group is the face of the Junior high orchestra. They perform at gigs such as volleyball games, madrigal dinners, retirement homes, school events and recruiting events to get elementary students interested in joining orchestra.
