The Mary Jane Dexter Scholarship Fund awards monetary assistance to former students of Wolcott Elementary School who are planning on attending, or currently attending, a 2 or 4 year college or technical training or certificate program. This Scholarship is awarded by the Mary Jane Dexter Scholarship Fund Corporation in reflection of Mary Jane's dedication to Wolcott students and her commitment to the importance of education.

College Enrolled Renewal Applicants
Scholarship Criteria:
Student must have attended Wolcott Elementary School for a minimum of 3 years.
Student must be enrolling in, or currently enrolled in a 2 or 4 year college.
Student must demonstrate financial need.
Student must demonstrate academic potential and obtained a yearly "B" average (3.0 on a 4 point GPA)
Students are eligible to reapply for the scholarship for all years they are attending their program up to a maximum of four years. Scholarships are NOT awarded for graduate level studies.
Award Information:
Award totals are determined by available annual funds, number of qualified applicants and individual applicant financial need. Award totals range from $2000 to $5000.
Mary Jane Dexter Scholarship Fund Awards are for covering the cost of tuition, fees, and on campus room and board only. Checks are made payable to the recipient AND their receiving school.
Students MAY REAPPLY for awards as long as they remain in their two or four year program and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0. The award DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY RENEW. Students reapplying can complete a simplified application each year. Awards in those years may be smaller or larger depending on changes in student financial need and fund availability.
The Mary Jane Dexter Scholarship Fund is managed by the Mary Jane Dexter Scholarship Fund Corporation, a 503(b) non profit entity established in 2022.
