We wish to acknowledge the traditional owners of the lands on which we learn, work and live, and to pay our respects to their Elders, past, present and future.
This module is a tailored, accessible learning resource for carers, and includes help sheets and video resources.
It was created with information and feedback from:
people living with MJD and their families,
carers,
Allied Health Professionals,
medical and nursing staff, and
MJD Foundation staff and volunteers.
These people told us the important information that people working as carers or support workers for people living with MJD need to know.
By completing this module, you’ll have a better understanding of the wants and needs of people living with MJD, and their families. You’ll be able to care for people living with MJD compassionately and with an understanding of best-practice care management strategies.
This information is not specific to any one person living with MJD. When providing care, you should always be guided by the person you are caring for, their individual care plans and associated healthcare professionals.
