1. Scope of Agreement
This Customer Service Policy governs the relationship between MJ Computers & IT Solutions (“Company”) and its clients regarding the provision of information technology services. By requesting or authorizing service, the client agrees to the terms outlined below.
Services may include, but are not limited to:
Diagnostics and repair
Software installation and configuration
Preventive maintenance and optimization
Hardware sales and custom builds
IT security services
Data recovery attempts
Technical consulting
Remote and on-site technical support
All services are performed based on professional judgment and availability.
Diagnostic Fee: A $50 diagnostic fee applies and will be credited toward approved repairs or services.
Data Responsibility: Clients are solely responsible for maintaining current backups of their data prior to service. The Company is not liable for data loss, corruption, or system failure arising from pre-existing conditions or unforeseen technical issues.
On-Site Service Fee: An on-site service fee is charged per visit. Each technician dispatch to a client location constitutes a separate visit, regardless of whether it relates to the same issue or a different service request.
No Guarantee of Outcome: Due to the unpredictable nature of technology, results cannot be guaranteed.
Clients have a 5–7 day grace period to collect equipment after notification of completion.
Beginning on day 8, a $10 per day storage fee will apply.
Equipment unclaimed after 30 days may be considered abandoned and may be disposed of, recycled, or resold at the Company’s discretion to recover costs.
New replacement parts may include a 30-day limited warranty unless otherwise stated.
No warranty is provided for customer-supplied parts, unlicensed software, or third-party modifications.
Used equipment is sold AS IS unless explicitly stated in writing.
Used laptops include a 7-day limited functionality warranty covering basic operational issues only and excluding software, battery life, cosmetic condition, or user-caused damage.
A 30% deposit is required for custom builds or special-order hardware.
Full payment is due upon completion prior to equipment release.
Accepted payment methods: Cash, Card, Zelle, Cash App, and Check. Applicable taxes may apply as required by law.
Authorization to perform diagnostics or service constitutes agreement to applicable fees, even if full resolution is not achieved.
Client information and device data will be treated as confidential and accessed only as necessary to perform authorized services. By requesting remote or local service, the client grants permission for system access strictly for diagnostic and support purposes.
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
MJ Computers & IT Solutions shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data, revenue, or business interruption.
The Company’s maximum liability, if any, shall be limited to the amount paid for the specific service performed.
The Company is not responsible for performance issues caused by third-party software, operating system updates, manufacturer defects, or external service providers.
This policy shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of the State of North Carolina.
MJ Computers & IT Solutions reserves the right to update or modify this policy at any time without prior notice. Continued use of services constitutes acceptance of any revisions.
