Title: Introduction to Birkhoff conjecture for billiards

Abstract: In this talk, we will explore interesting properties of planar billiards. We will also introduce Birkhoff conjecture, which states that every integrable billiard is an ellipse. Finally, we will formulate the main idea of the paper that proves local Birkhoff conjecture for nearly circular ellipses.

Title: Why Autmorphic Forms?

Abstract: Automorphic forms play a central role in the Langlands Program, one of the biggest projects of modern mathematics. To understand automorphic forms and their simple but still confusing definition, we take a stroll through the fields of modular forms and zeta functions to arrive at a basic understanding of the motivations behind the concept.
