CO-Director
This is my first time directing a musical with the Mitre Players, and what a show to start with – Rock of Ages! I’ve loved working with adults (though they’ve sometimes been just as dramatic as the children I usually direct…). I’ve had the pleasure of sharing the directing with the lovely Jo Morrison – she’s been so much fun to work with, and I’ve learned a lot from her along the way. It’s been a brilliant learning curve, and I’m so proud of what we’ve created together. A huge thank you to the cast and crew for making this such a fun experience. I hope you all love the show – and don’t stop believin’! Oh, and the sexy blonde guitarist? He’s mine!
CO-director
An experienced director with the Mitre Players, Jo thought she'd seen it all... until Rock of Ages came along with its spandex, sass, and saucy dialogue. Co-directing this gloriously silly show has pushed all creative boundaries — in the best possible way — and reminded everyone involved that sometimes, theatre is just about having a ridiculously fun time and doing it boldly! It’s been an absolute pleasure sharing the driving seat with the brilliant Rachael Adams, whose energy and humour made every rehearsal a joy (and only occasionally chaotic). Huge thanks to the insanely talented cast and the production team who took every madcap idea and made it happen. Bringing this over-the-top, feel-good rock fest to life has been a wild ride, and Jo couldn’t be prouder. Now grab your air guitars — and maybe a wig — and get ready to rock!
choreographer
Kim has been a Mitre Player Since 2018, so has a few shows under her belt now.
She has had to dig deep to find her inner Rock Chick to choreograph as well as perform in this show.
As an OAP, let's see if she manages to get up off the floor gracefully in the Stripper Club number 😅!
Musical Director
Brighton boy Shaz is stoked to finally be on a show where everyone has to look like him, and has gotten a real kick out of asking ‘Name 3 songs’ to anyone wearing 80s band merch.
Be sure to tip him when he delivers your Tesco!
