Research areas and objective
Our research is in the broad area of Process Systems Engineering. We focus on combining artificial intelligence/data-driven and fundamental knowledge to develop computational methods for the efficient modeling, design, optimization, control, and operation of systems ranging from the molecular to the enterprise-wide scale. This is achieved by combining mathematical optimization and control theory with chemical engineering domain knowledge and tools from artificial intelligence, machine learning, and network science.Â
Currently, we are working on the following directions:
