PRISM is a conference for undergraduates conducting research in physics, hosted by the MIT Society of Physics Students.

The conference will be held in-person from September 1-2, 2022, with options for virtual presenters and attendees as well.

Speaker registration for PRISM 2022 is now closed. Register here to attend by 8/29!

The PRISM 2022 Conference, hosted by MIT SPS, will be held on Thursday, September 1 and Friday, September 2, 2022 (10 am-4 pm on both days). If you are an MIT, Harvard, or Wellesley student doing physics research or a student from another college doing physics research with an MIT-affiliated supervisor, we highly recommend that you sign up to present a talk or poster at this event!

We hope that this will be a valuable opportunity for all of you to showcase your work in a friendly and welcoming environment. We also hope that this will give you a chance to hone your presentation skills and see the exciting research that your peers are doing in all areas of physics. We will have both virtual and in-person sessions for this conference depending on speaker availability.

If you choose to present, you will be asked to present either a talk or a poster. Unfortunately, due to time limitations, we cannot allow students to present both. Each talk will have a 10-minute time limit with 2 minutes for Q&A. People presenting virtually are strongly encouraged to give talks, given logistical limitations, while in-person presenters are welcome to present either talks or posters.

In-person attendees will need campus access granted by MIT, either via MIT affiliate access or with Tim Tickets. Please visit now.mit.edu for the latest details on MIT campus access.
