About Me

Biography

I grew up outside of Atlanta, Georgia in Locust Grove with my parents and younger brother. I moved to Johnson City, Tennessee to attend Milligan University where I played golf and settled into my love for learning; mathematics in particular. In the year following my undergraduate studies, I moved to Knoxville to begin my Ph.D. candidacy at The University of Tennessee and married my wife, Mary Kate. Upon our return to Johnson City, I begin work as a data scientist at Eastman and completed my degree at UTK. The majority of my time outside of work is consumed by our amazing baby girl, Macon Roan. Besides that, I enjoy playing golf, working on projects around the house, landscaping and gardening, biking, traveling, backpacking, and exploring local breweries... but never running. No matter what the activity may be, I enjoy spending time with my wife and our families and friends, creating memories for us to share for years to come.
