Founded in 2012 by the Olson family, Misty Pines Stables hosted children's horse parties from 2013 until 2017—until the barn was paid off and they decided they wanted their summers back! In 2023, Misty Pines Stables re-opened their doors to introduce beginners to horseback riding.

Prior to moving to the country and building a barn, the family volunteered at a horse rescue for five years, took horsemanship class at Parkland, attended horse clinics, and learned as much as they could from books, online, and from their very wise horse friends and neighbors. 

But the best teacher is experience—and lots of questions. At Misty Pines Stables, you'll get more than riding lessons, you'll get a little history, education, information, and tips for being a better horse person. 

Hailey started riding lessons at 7 years old. She has owned 7 horses of various breeds and her family has taken 6 dude ranch vacations! She started competing in college and competed as an alumnae with her college team, and independently with her own horse, a draft cross named Delilah. Hailey has assisted with instruction at other stables and has taught friends and family to ride safely and successfully.

Hailey began riding English when she was 7, and switched to Western trail riding and barrel racing at age 11. In college, Hailey began riding with the school's Hunter/Jumper collegiate team and taking eventing and dressage lessons with her horse Delilah. After college, Hailey has continued to compete in eventing, take lessons, and attend clinics with many professionals in the area.

Hailey's teaching style is dressage-based and takes an interdisciplinary and biomechanical approach to riding, aiming to establish a solid foundation and movement-based understanding of riding in any discipline.
