Leadership and Advocacy
Missouri City Middle School Counselors work with members of our leadership team and school community to create a safe environment for teaching and learning. Our efforts allow students to excel physically, socially, emotionally, and academically. Our Student Needs Assessment is used to create groups, identify student concerns, and focus on social and emotional needs. Individual conferences are held with students that focus on academic planning and attendance. In partnership with the MCMS Parent and Family Engagement Center, we work to connect the families of our students and community partners to provide needed resources to minimize barriers.
No Place For Hate Recognition
Missouri City Middle School has been recognized twelve times by the Anti-Defamation League as a No Place For Hate campus. Through the NPFH initiative, MCMS students develop skills to recognize and value differences, challenge bias, and champion justice. Teachers and administrators at MCMS work to create a positive, inclusive learning environment where students have a sense of safety and belonging.
