I was born in Rome, NY in 1999 and resided in West Leyden, NY nearly my entire life. I attended West Leyden Elementary and then Adirondack Middle and High School where I graduated with my advanced regents diploma in 2017. When in school, I was a very active member of my school and community; joining multiple clubs, playing three sports, volunteering, and working part-time in a local kitchen.
After graduating in 2017, I attended Mohawk Valley Community (MVCC) for my associate's degree in general studies. Here is where I continued playing softball and found my love and passion for coaching, which pushed me in the direction of obtaining a career in Education. I graduated from MVCC in December 2018 and transferred to SUNY Potsdam for the start of the Spring 2019 semester. It was not until May 2022 that I graduated with a dual bachelor's degree in Secondary Education and Mathematics.
Directly after graduation, I was hired as a 7-12 math teacher at Clifton-Fine CSD in May of 2022. I took a year off from college and got my feet wet in teaching. Then in the fall of 2023, I went back to college part-time, this time pursuing a master's degree as an Educational Technology Specialist. I currently am teaching full-time and finishing this degree part-time.
Along this journey, I have received some other titles and responsibilities that have given me great experiences and opportunities to learn along the way. As you continue scrolling you will see some highlights of my work throughout the years.
I am devoted to creating a welcoming, safe, fun, and encouraging learning environment.
March 14th, National Pi Day, is a great example of how we celebrate math.
